Backstory: about 2 years ago, I sold my approximately then 8 month old Oppo to an older gentleman (through AudiogoN) who lives in Santa Rosa, CA, about 55 miles north of me. He contacted me today and mentioned that he has not even opened the box to play it. He told me that his life situation (taking care of an elderly mother, etc.) did not allow him the time to use it and now he wants to sell the Oppo to help with finances. He says that he is not very tech savvy and is unsure about how to even place an ad or download pictures from his cell phone. BTW - we met in person to make the transaction and he seemed like a very nice gentleman. Also, I sold my Oppo and bought another one that already had the ModWright mod and I am still loving it! SOLD!
He asked if I could help him sell it, hence this ad. He is looking to get $2000 for a unit that would easily rate a 9 (when I sold it) on the AudiogoN scale...assuming that indeed it has not been played in 2 years. This would obviously be more appealing if you lived in the San Francisco Bay area and could meet him (with proper social distancing).
