  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

I guess that many speakers will do. I've paired my B135 3 with the Dynaudio Heritage Special. To me, it's perfect!

If I was a salesman and you asked me that question I would ask you the following before making recommendations:
What kind of music do you listen to?
How big is your room?
How far do you sit from the speakers?
How loud do you listen?
What aspects of music reproduction do you favor?
After getting an idea of your situation, I would start making recommendations. A lot of speakers will sound great with a B1353.
All that being said, I’m a fan of the Mini-T but what you will like depends on a lot of variables to narrow down the choices.

I mainly listen to classic, jazz, and secondly folk, rock. Size of my room: 11x20 feet, sit 8 to 10 f.
When I'm listen to music I favor accuracy and realism of timbre of all acoustic instrument, transparency, wide image and sound stage, smoothness sound (not agressive or harsh in the high frequency) but accurate. Realism is when you feel the presence of the instrument in your room. Balance in sound frequency (not favouring high or low frequency). Non fatiguing sound.
I know there may be a lot of speaker that will sound great but only need some suggestions even if there are always some subjectivity in our tastes of what good sound is.
Thanks for your suggestions (between 5000 - 8000$cdn)

I listen to jazz and acoustic music and I have two Brystons (a 4BSST and a 14B3) paired with PMC's (OB1's and MB2se's respectively) and I find them a wonderful match. I suggest that you give them a listen if you can.

I have the same integrated and really like PMCs twenty5 series 22s and 26. I listen to a wide variety of music and find them excellent.

First time aboard this circle; anticipating arrival of B135 3 around month end.  I will start with my Harbeth P3ES-2s, a sort of benchmark for me, when it comes to assessing amps and sources.  At the local retailer, I heard a BP 20 and 4B 3 sounding formidable with Graham LS5/9s; I may have a chance to audition with my B135 3.  Also have Spendor Classic 4/5s and Neat Momentum SX3i to play with.

This will be my first long term experience with Bryston.  Mostly had British electronics till now; about time I rooted for the home team.

Listening space is medium small; about 3.5 m by 5.5 m, or around 11’ 6” by 16’ 6”.  Typical wood frame construction, drywall, and sprung wood floor.  Actual listening distance is about 7 and a half feet from each ear, so small speakers well driven can do big things….

Your observations/suggestions welcome.

Hi,

Any of these Bryston speakers would work well. Bryston make great products.

Philharmonic audio is also great value and the BMR monitor is highly rated.

Thanks Rod.  I’ll look for a chance to hear some of the smaller Bryston speakers; Mini-T and I gather there is a smaller one coming soon.  I’ll follow up with those links you provided as well.

I'm currently running Paradigm Founder 100F's on my B-135 Cubed and it's a phenomenal match.  No harshness, a big 3D soundstage with good depth and it all plays really loud with no distortion when you need it to.  Highly recommended combo.  Bryston's own speakers will also be a wonderful match.

I currently have a pair of Paradigm Persona 3Fs paired with my 4B3. The Persona B bookshelf may match well with a 135.
