Looking for a local sale in the San Francisco Bay Area - East Bay. Excellent condition tube power amp with silver faceplate. Purchased new by me, one owner. Was $2300 new. Never in the shop for any problems or repairs, works perfectly. About 6-7 years old. Upgraded Genalex Gold Lion 12AX7 and 12AU7 tubes ($100 value). I will also include another brand of each preamp tube ($50 value) although I have found the Gold Lion tubes to sound the best. The 4 KT120 power tubes are Tung-Sol. Also included is the optional tube cage ($100 value) and an upgraded power cord ($75 value). Original box and manual too. Biasing the power tubes is very simple and only needs to be done infrequently. The amp is currently set-up for my 4 ohm speakers, if you have 8 ohm speakers you have to change one wire on the inside of the amp at the right and left speaker binding posts (simple and explained in the manual). The amp imparts a little of that tube magic that sounds so much nicer (to me) than solid state. Please note this is a power amp, so you need a separate preamp in your system.
