I've been reading some older threads on the Crown XLS1500 that were kicked around on here a while ago. I read them back when I was shopping for one, and am reading them again as I think about trying to squeeze more from it! Really enjoyed the "tour" some of your members sent one on!
My vintage Kenwood KA-801 needs a DeOx treatment and in the meantime I've pulled my Crown up from the basement to run as my daily driver in my office. Lots of power for a small office, but it's working well. Have it hooked up to an old Parasound PSP-1500 preamp. My primary source is vinyl from custom AR XB but I also do streaming when I just want background music. Primary speakers are Wharfedale 10.2's but I also have a few ADS on-hand.
Current primary rig:
AR XB w/Grado G1+ -> TCC TC-750LC phono pre -> Parasound PSP1500 -> Parasound EQ f210 -> Crown XLS 1500 -> Wharfedale 10.2's
Small office space
Low volume listening for the most part
