I have played it About a month - this was an ARC replacement for a regular Reference CD9 - but while waiting for the new unit I had decided to go to an msb Discrete r2r / streaming Tidal medium before I received this replacement upgraded unit (Aurrender A10 system - my main rig is vinyl), and I am looking to free up some money for a speaker upgrade.
The unit is so pristine - you literally are only missing pulling the plastic off the front face.
ARC now has incorporated a USB input (mac, windows and Linux), enhanced all glass face plate to match their new reference series, upgraded dacs, and samples up to 24/192.
This is the black face model which looks fantastic. Top loading and built like a tank. It utilizes 4 6H30 tubes and a 6H30 with 6559WE power supply tubes.
The CD9 SE combines highly sampled digital inputs, and a rugged Phillips PRO2R transport for superior sound.
