And here is what my room looks like.  I KNOW this is terrible. Its in my bedroom. No carpet. Not a TON of space. I moved in my PC and everything hoping to get some more stuff in the room. I wanted to slap myself after his video LOL.

So where and how can I go on about making it better? Which wall should I treat for most effectiveness? I ask this because I can't put TOO much things.

What I do have on hand is a couple of 1" open cell foam sheets. I can use them, if 2" or more are required I can put them together. And maybe stick them on the wall, put some painting on top?

And yes, as can probably be seen. My listening position for now is on the bed!

Ron from NRD actually has a good, basic guide on how to set up a room and where to use diffusion and absorption.
Hope it can give you a better idea on how to treat your room!

Fiberglass duct board is as scarce as hen's teeth in California requiring special ordering for OC 703 or Knauf over the internet.  I was only able to find Knauf in stock once at an HVAC shop 50 miles away many years ago.

I bought several packages of this and stood them up in the corners. Yes, they are ugly as hell, but they made a HUGE difference in my room's sound. At some point I will either cover the packages or build some frames for them.

Once I get eventually get my NX-Studios built, room treatment will be the next thing on my list.
Probably make some small diffusers directly behind them and some cheap fiberglass absorption panels around the room.
I'm mostly going to be listening in a near-field/desk setting, so I'm not sure how necessary full room treatment is.
Tho if i rearrange the room a bit for movie watching as well.. so some absorption will still be better than none.

So as you guys can see the room picture. The first reflection of the LEFT speaker is on the LEFT wall directly close to the speaker, under the painting. The second reflection point is basically the door which is of the right speaker. This is done with the mirror method at my listening position.

For the right wall, the first reflection is where the sitting on the right side starts, and the second is also closely followed by it.

So can I apply some of the open cell foam I have on these spots? Will it help?

Absolutely! Diffusion would also be a good option if you have access to the tools to make some yourself. But absorption is usually the best/easiest place to start to quiet down the room and major reflection points.
