They may be a little big though if they're going to be used on a desk.

You also might look into the Wharfedale Diamond 220 or 225 or the PSB Alpha P3 or P5 depending on how big of a speaker you're wanting,. The bigger versions of those, the Diamond 225 and Alpha P5 were both Stereophile recommended speakers, but I would guess that their little brothers are nearly, if not equally, as good for the application if this is for nearfield use.
