Ultimate BATTERY Powered Transport?

Guys
Is anyone using one of these to feed their DAC?

No affiliation to the seller....just saw it on Audiogon and then did some research.
I have to imagine that given that its HDD based and battery powered, it would be about as close to perfect as you can get for a (stock) transport!

I would think you are better off taking a regular transport, letting it's AC power the transport and control and then powering the digital circuitry off the batteries. That should be an excellent way to accomplish battery powered transport.

Josh
I would think that entirely eliminating A/C would be a good thing?
Also, the iRiver is hard drive based...which is thought (by many) to be a superior mechanism for digital music retrieval.
