If anyone is interested, i have 4 of those Schurter IECs in Eduardo's pics that i'd sell for really cheap. They don't have that Rubber part anymore, i threw that part out since it was too small for any of my cable (12AWGx3)... and one of them has the plastic screwdown part removed as well.

You are right the rubber limits the cable diameter you can use, what I do is to cut the rubber as it approaches the connector the  rubber inlet diameter is wider.

You can see the cut in the picture.

I built 2 groneberg power cords, they are plugged to my monos since a couple of days. Make a big difference. Im my opinion, the stock power cords doesn't allow to hear  the real potential of the monos. They perform much better now.
About the groneberg cables, I didn't like them for speaker cable but found them very good for IC and power cords.

I changed the stock power cord of my njoe tjoeb to groneberg, that makes a big difference. The sound is more dynamic, more lively. Soundstage is bigger also.
