As a new member I am not new to high fidelity as I first got interested in the hobby/obsession when I heard  the JBL Paragon perform the 1812 fifty years ago at Graham Electronics in Indpls. fifty years ago.  I if would win the lottery that would be an early purchase.  I've gone through the double Advent system, LS3/5A's  w/Satterbergs, the original Magnepans, Linn Saras for awhile and currently trying to upgrade my VMPS's.  Still a holdout for the Linn TT and looking to upgrade that as well as the arm/cartridge combo.  Still clinging to 15 ft. of records no matter what as they just seem "right", think it's a tactile thing as well as aural.  I've been guesting on the site for years but now find I have questions that require me to register and hopefully get some answers to a couple of problems I've encountered.  As I'm retired now I don't anticipate great changes in my equipment but one never knows when the "urge" will appear.  Looking forward to enriching my life more with all the info available, Whit .

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome!

What a blast from the past (JBL Paragon)!  Age wise I'm with you, but have kept up with the times.
