i agree that if chris made his dac w/a built-in trickle-charger, 95% of the work is done. all i was suggesting is an outboard tap for the p/s of your choice. it could be a wall-wart, a lab-grade p/s, a typical audiophile-mfr-approved p/s, etc.

completely agree

Chris,

Just got my dAck! v.2 with high output and high resolution options!  FedEx left it between the storm and front doors.   :nono:

Plugged it in and played it long enough to confirm everything works (it did).  How long should the first charging be?

Thanks bunches.   :!:     :!:

Jeff,

We usually send the units out fully charged but there is slight depletion during shipping which is natural.  It should be ready to go within 15-20 minutes of setting it up and you can run it for 8 hours right there.

The batteries are fresh so they'll take some time to condition.  They start out needing more charge before switching to float at first so it'll take 10-15 charges before you start to get really rapid refresh cycles.  After that they'll recharge in less time than your listening cycle.

Enjoy :)
