Introduction
« on: 9 Feb 2020, 02:51 pm »
My dad used to say: "A Clemson man needs no introduction..." to which I would reply..."because no one wants to meet him." Ah, the cruelty of adolescence. Similarly, I offer, "another snobbish audiophile needs no introduction." I have no intellectual, intuitive, nor scientific understanding of stereo equipment technology. Like many, I have suffered the subtle and not so subtle put downs of dealers and certain customers at their stores. I come here humbly seeking help and a community where I might find VMPS parts should I need them. From around 1990 on, VMPS was my dream speaker, particularly the Super Tower III R in Rosewood. In 2002 I purchased the Super Tower R with the attachable ribbon side panels. it will be my speaker for life. I am not a listening room guy, sitting in a sweet spot, tweaking to find that ultimate audiophile ear orgasm. I'm always moving around...like I do in a indie rock or jazz club, thriving on that dynamic live sound. The VMPS is perfect for my needs, and I finally have the system I want built around them.  I'm the type that when I know folks in the world are starving and suffering, my stereo system and music collection make me feel quite a bit guilty. So when I ask ignorant questions, needing help, please be gentle, please be kind. Stephen

Hey Stephen,

Welcome to Audio Circle. The search function might be a good place to start your VMPS query. I believe they did have presence on this site at one time. And if I’m not mistaken there was a recent thread or two as well. Good hunting!  :D
