Ben built this dac some years ago, don’t know exactly, based on the great sounding AD1865 Chip. It sounds absolutely great and an easy best buy sonically at this price. Upgraded Auricap XO output caps, Duelund stranded and tinned pure copper wire in cotton internal hook up wire, Furutech IEC, upgraded and new RCA jacks, Cardas input jack, and Nichicon Power supply caps.
The output comes directly off the AD1865 to the Auricap XO output caps. Simple and great sounding circuit. This unit has no fuse or on/off switch as built originally. Plug it in and go. If you desire and fused on/off switch, then simply buy a fused IEC with switch and install.
The case is not mint and has many scuffs, but looks good overall. 6/10 condition. Not a thing of beauty, but wonderful sounding.
