Where's the acoustic test results? Never buy audio gear (including treatments) based on appearance or intuition.
Well, it's interesting I suppose. Generally I try to regard the growth of moss in my home and yard no matter how much the deer love it.
I am not a botanist, though I play one on TV, but if it is damp enough to grow moss on a wall I'd suspect too damp for your equipment. Yes? No?
This is preserved moss, they can NOT grow anymore, they can stay as is for a decade without touching it.
Cool idea Zitoun. How ‘hard’ does the moss get after treated? Point is it could turn into a reflective surface, so will change affected waves. And no one but you can tell you when and where your intuition is useful.
Ah, thank you. So it's a decorative cover for the underlying sound absorbtion. Rockwool is a great material for that, better than fiberglass. Safe n Sound is a rockwool product designed for it. For bass frequencies you need more of it than the 2-4"s used in wall panels. I used 12" in my bass traps. I doubt the moss would have more than a minor contribution to the absorbtion.
