I'm just messing with you man

I agree too - musical choice will make a difference.  For me I'm about 90% classical so servo OB subs are a perfect fit.  What kind of music do you generally listen to?

For me it's about 10% classical, 30-40% Jazz, and then 50% of everything else which are mostly going to be studio based recordings, with genres that range from black metal to pop/rock, blue grass/country, etc...

Previously I insinuated about a favorite genre of music. But I don't really have any favorites anymore (in experience, I don't listen to the same three albums. I play a huge range, all the time). There are good and bad recordings, but even the 'bad' recordings aren't bad once you have dealt with the room and speakers. What I will probably argue is that the music that I have downloaded/streamed as a whole is better recorded today than it was even a few years ago. That being said, all my music is automagically upsampled to DSD 256 through Roon and sent to my streamer, etc...

Best,
Anand.
