A minimalist - but I just hate to throw things out if someone can or will use them. Anyone want 3 semi-useless tubes for free?

I throw mine out.  Always with a tinge of regret, but they are consumables which have been consumed.  I don't fret on throwing out burnt out light bulbs so I guess I should look at worn out tubes in the same way.

  Cool to use for display. If you have a tube tester find out if any good. If not discard or keep.

Same.  I've had fun handing them off to artist friends who inevitably find them amazing and beautiful little machines... which they are, of course!

Since they are endlife for audio do you could baking these tubes at 40-50ºC for 4 hours in the electric or gas oven and inform us the sonic results?

Yes, or put them in a bag until you have a few and sell them on ETSY,
and those ppl will make something out of them.

Heck, I just bought a 1950s RCA  at a flea market last week for a buck.
It is dead, but looks cool as h*ll, so I use it as decor and a reminder of history ....
