Hi, folks!


Im Raphael, from Brazil!

My sistem is made by:

Sotm SMS200 Streamer
Ps Audio Nuwave Dac
Audiopax M5SE Preamp
Audiopax M88SE Monoblock Set Amps 30w
Von Schweikert vr 35 Speaker

For now, I just finish to setup all that gear and it works fine.

So, this is my status

I can appreciate the advantages of bi-amplification but getting the crossover adjustments right is absolutely crucial to making it work.

Evening Raphael,
I purchased a Crown XLi800 in November of last year, now have 3.  IMO, for the price, you can't go wrong.  They seem to be versatile enough.  Currently using one amp per channel for vertical biamping.  Long term will be to replace them with DAC ILM Cherries.  Research distributed bass array.  One amp driving 3 to 4 10 or 12 inch woofs spread along all walls.  On AudioGon millercarbon goes into quite a bit of detail.  I use a cheap DBX XLS 2/3 electronic xover for the subs.
The only downside to the Crowns is the 1% distortion, at rated output, you probably won't turn the volume up enough to cross that threshold.  Jerry  :)
