I am finally getting back into the music listening (getting older so not choosing audiophile hobby).
I live in SF in a 1 bedroom apt, dimensions of room that I want to listen to music are 12ft x 16.5ft x 10 ft. Currently have Quad 11L speakers driven from TV analog out, or Google TV optical out (for Pandora). Waiting for my Topping D10 to use from my computer for both streaming of Spotify and also my CD's that I have copied with EAC in FLAC and playing back through MusicBee (new to musicbee).
Going to think about adding a subwoofer, and also quite like some of the diy designs so thinking of building/buying a LxMini system. I heard and loved the Lx521.4 system but think it won't work in my space. (Lx are the Linkwitz designs). Mainly listen to classical, jazz, some rock, international music etc.
In the past in larger spaces I have had first a 2 channel Vandy 2CE system with Rotel and Arcam as source and amplification, and then a 5 channel Vandy 2Ce, with VCC and VSM surrounds with Arcam receiver, and also later on a 2 channel system with Acoustat 2+2 with Rotel CD player, and Acoustant TNT amplification.
