Greetings & Salutations
« on: 31 Dec 2019, 09:09 am »
Hello Everyone,

While I've been a member for a little while, I'm just now initiating The Starting Block. Please know that I consider myself a novice in the way of electronics, while also being one totally in love with the hobby there of and musical enjoyment. I've also enjoyed through years reading the many threads and comments, and quite literally the little I do know has come about from my research and reading here and various other sites. So with that being said, I wish you all a prosperous 2020 New Year, one filled with safe keeping, peace and joy!!

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome JDDF!

In my nearly 50 years at this, there's never been a better time to get into high sound quality/low cost audio:  Sabaj D5 DAC/preamp is very near State of the Art (SOTA) for $470 on Amazon (just plug into your computer); JBL 305 Mk2 are amazing active speakers and can fill a medium sized room for $200/pair on Amazon (just pick up a pair of XLR cables to connect); add a $20/month (or less) music streaming subscription to Tidal, Qobuz, or Amazon HD for access to millions of albums at CD quality.

Warm thanks to all who've welcomed me into the Circle, I am honored. Today is the first blank page of a 365 page book, Let us fill each page with respect to our fellow man, a helping hand to those in need, and the pursuit of peace through out the world. As the song goes, what the World needs now is love sweet love..... Happy new years everyone!!!
