SOLD: a Plinius SA-102 amplifier in black. I've owned this unit for about five years and it has been trouble-free during all of that time.
Please note that this is a very heavy amp and will be expensive to ship. Local audition and pickup in Somerville, MA would be welcome.
If you're reading this ad you probably already know that the SA-102 is extremely well regarded for its power and musicality. A Plinius service rep confirmed to me that the SA-102 is virtually identical internally to the SA-103, which Plinius listed on its web site as a current product until just a few months ago.
This unit has had a fo-Q damping sheet fixed to the underside (quite effective IMO, but removable with a little effort), and has been upgraded with HiFi Tuning ceramic internal rail fuses. I'll also include the original fuses.
The amp looks very good overall. The one cosmetic issue worth noting is a half-inch hairline scratch on the right of the faceplate as seen in the photo. It's less noticeable in real life than in the picture, but because it's there I've rated the unit a 7. I'll also mention a few *very* small marks on the top plate and top edge of the faceplate (hard to capture in a photo, but you can just see them), and some scuffing on the underside from use of aftermarket footers (of course not visible in normal use).
