Hello, just signed up here.  Long time audio and music enthusiast.  Looking to upgrade some old speakers and signed up here to ask about the new ones I'm interested in.

You could favor a hi sensitivity speaker so you could use a small tube amp which usually are inexpensive are sounds great.

Thanks all.  Will be upgrading my front 3 in a mixed use open concept living space.  Salk Song3's are my top contender at the moment.  I Will be auditioning a pair towards the end of January through someone that Jim Salk put me in touch with.  If I do any of the electronics it'll be to a newer receiver than my
AVR-X4000 so I can use the new Audyssey features that have been enabled since then.
