While it won't "improve" the sound of your system it can improve the performance.

How many times have you "hit" the remote control on the couch or you hand just to "jar" the batteries a bit so they make better contact?

Well since they send you so much extra SilClear, you migh as well place a little on the remote contacts and that will help the problem a bit, or at least it did on mine.

I use the Mapleshade product on the batteries of a few flashlights in the house, too, they seem to be a little brighter (and I hope last longer with the silver connection) in strength after applying.  The Caig R5 had teh same effect, too, when I Caig'ed them a couple years back.

Don't want those flashlights going dead when you need them most.  Here in quakey (flaky?) San Fran we think of worst case scenarios a lot
