This is one of the more interesting high performance passive line stages on the market. Uses a 125 step volume control with Vishay S-102 resistors. No cheap volume pot, or 8 or 12 step rotary attenuator with too big a jump sound wise between positions. Also has 3 inputs, and two sets of output jacks with high quality RCA connectors. Each channel is contained in its own chassis, and connected through a single face plate. There is a separate power supply for the switching mechanism. There is a Sony remote control that is programmed to control the unit, can switch inputs and volume.
The Placette passive linestage is a current production piece, and sells for $2195 factory direct.
