available: Rehabbed vintage TECHNICS SE-9060 dual mono DC stereo power amplifier - from the glory days of Japanese audio components. Info and specs below.

listed at $395; sold for $350.

Purchased in 2018 from Dave at Chicago Audio. He replaced "almost all caps". Dave used to run this amp in his system and said it was the best imaging amp he’d heard.

Very good condition for its age. Note that what appear to be five-way binding posts at first glance, aren't. They are time-period Technics posts which are best for bare wire, as far as i can tell. I could not fit bananas into them. The out-of-focus last photo shows the spkr. terminal connectors made up for the amp (for spades, bananas etc.), which can be included with the sale.

$60 to ship in lower 48 - will be carefully packed; free pick up available in Indiana Dunes.

from online discussion: “Nice little amp, indeed. Solid construction, thick front panel, heatsinks that form the sides. Transformers in the back, but a rigid enough design to not droop when rack mounted. Dual mono design after the power switch, built in bridging. 70WPC@8ohms and 210W@8ohms mono (which implies 105WPC@4ohms). Single darlington pair output devices per channel. Input level controls, which are a nice addition. DC design, with a switchable 2Hz hi-pass filter."

theVintageKnob:

“Small and big DC power amplifier, part of the "Professional" Series. The export 9060 was equivalent to the revised version of the late 1976 60A original : bigger trafos, better S/N and damping factor, less residual noise, the addition of a 2Hz filter switch (just in case), the possibility to bridge the two channels to make a monoblock and... more output power. The SE-9060 has:

* All DC circuit * Differential amp with Current Mirror Load and dual-FETs in the first stage * Matched 2SB655+2SD675 power transistors * Constant current load instead of conventional bootstrap in the voltage amp * Pure complementary SEPP with 3-stage Darlington circuit * Temp stabilized FETs for DC stability * Triple protection system : DC drift, over-current and over-heat detections * Stereo / mono operation with simple (back) switch and no rewiring necessary * Dual power supplies with four 18,000µF capacitors and two trafos with triple magnetic shielding * Relay switching for the speakers' selectors and 2U EIA standard dimensions * Japan, 1978 * 70 WPC RMS (perhaps the most underrated amp ever made, actual measurement is 102 Watts per channel)

thanks for looking
