FS: Lab12 DAC1 SE - The Incredibly Analog DAC
« on: 2 Jun 2019, 06:21 pm »
Lab12 DAC1 SE with original shipping packaging and factory upgrade to include all 3 types of inputs. Asking $1750 + Shipping and Paypal

If you are looking at this DAC, you know its reputation for being an incredibly analog sounding DAC that puts ease and flow back into digital music without losing any detail or drive. It uses the same legendary DAC chip as the critically acclaimed Border Patrol DAC, but instead of one chip like in Border Patrol, Lab12 uses eight (8) to achieve lower noise and much better frequency response. Combined with a real toroidal transformer, it blows the Border Patrol out of the water. (I had both to A/B)

The review below sums up just how it punches way above its weight and achieves the kind of organic sound that's reserved for much more expensive DACs.

p.s. I have upgrade the stock tube with the "Holy Grail" 1975 Reflektor SWGP 6N23P tube, pretty much the best 6922/6N23P tube you can get. You can read about it in the post below, and it really takes this DAC to another level. I will include the tube for an additional $50
