Accepting any and all phono stage recommendations to pair with my Almarro.  Currently just running a basic MoFi phono stage.  It does the job, but can't help but chase that dragon.  Would the Manley Chinook make a good pairing?  There's one currently for sale out there on another site.  Would prefer to keep it at or under $1k.  I like to go for things that are under valued in price in the audio world

Thanks Buddy.  That's actually one that I've been considering.  I am going to check out an AES Cary PH-1 tomorrow... any experience?  Everything I've read seems to be quite positive.

I also have an Almarro a318b and built a Bottlehead Eros phono preamp that I really like. However, you have to like DIY and for MC cartridges you may need an SUT.

I used a Graham Slee Era Gold then a Graham Slee MM Assession with my Almarro to good results.
