**Total price for amplifier and NOS tubes = $1,250 including US shipping**
For sale is my mint condition Decware Select Zen Triode Amplifier (SE84UF02) upgraded with the Anniversary Mod. I bought the amplifier January 2018 and had the Anniversary Mod performed November 2018. It is in excellent condition in all regards (Audiogon rating 9/10).
This is an outstanding 2 watt SET amplifier well deserving of the unanimous praise it receives in the press and forums. Mine has the contemporary walnut base and 2 RCA inputs, plus optional stepped attenuator, cryo-treated beeswax caps, and Anniversary beeswax bypass modification. See the Decware website for more details. More images available on request.
The original cost of the amplifier was $1,463 and the Anniversary modification was $260 for a total of $1,723. Decware’s current build backlog is 3-4 months so you’ll save months of wait time. I will provide invoices with the amplifier.
I also have a several NOS alternate tubes that I used for much of my listening: Power tubes: (2) 6N15N-EB, (2) 6N14N-EB and (2) EL-84 STR, Driver tubes: (1) 6H5N and (1) E88CC/6922, and (1) 80 Globe rectifier. My cost for these 9 tubes was $245. (My total cost for amp, mod and tubes = $1,868)
I’m reluctantly selling after downsizing my system to fit in a new condo. I recently sold my Omega speakers which were a great match and am now left with only my LS3/5A monitors. Surprisingly, the Decware sounds very good with the 84db Rogers for nighttime listening, but 2 watts isn’t enough for higher volumes with these low-efficiency speakers.
