« on: 12 Apr 2019, 05:26 pm »
I'm a long time member of other audiophool boards but somewhat new here. I came here to spend some $$$ in the trading post. And maybe find out why I want to try another preamp (tubed) in my system when it sound pretty doggone good now!! I've had this sickness for awhile but not to this point.

Welcome to the sweet spot. What are the preamps involved?

Greetings & Welcome to AC artemus   :thumb:  We have counselors on staff 24/7 to aid with this sickness, always happy to help you spend your hard earned cash to alleviate your symptoms. Sadly the disease is incurable.

The preamps are the DeHavilland Ultraverve 3 & Don Sachs 2. I was looking at a Joule Electra also but it got snatched up.

I appreciate you telling me about the resident counselors. I suspect they are similar to the counselors at those other boards....as sick or more than I am. But its a good sickness. Wives don't seem to understand though....

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Gentleman, isn't it amazing how easy it is to spend other people's money? Though my wife thinks I spend a lot of money. She is trying to talk me out of the new preamp. I guess that is a wife's job.
