Introduction

Hi,

I have been interested in audio ever since I was a kid. Probably rubbed off from my grandfather, who used to play with radio's and tape recorders.

I like mostly classical music and jazz, go to concerts every now and then, and have played trumpet and saxophone. My children sing in a choir and play violin.
I very much like tube amplifiers. Glorious, golden, they radiate beauty. I have had a Mei Xing Ming Da MC34-AB amp which was nice.
Then I built a kit 2A3 SET amp, which was very nice. I had Blumenstein Orca single driver speakers for some time.

Recently I have had the opportunity to listen to electrostatic speakers, they have truly blown me away. My current system is Quad ESL 2805, with David Berning designed Linear Tube Audio MicroZOTL MZ2 and MZ40. The sound is amazingly glorious. As if you are in the room with the instruments.

Welcome trumpeter!

I love 2805s, such a wonderful speaker, especially with tube amps. I once bought 2905, based on hearing 2805. I shoulda got the 2805. Luckily my friend bought those 2805s so I still get to hear them now and then.
