You'll have to define your problem first and your goals second before we can help. (By "we" I mean others.) Had a modded squeezebox-2 many moons ago, roughly every 2 weeks it'd go off the reservation and only emit noise. No amount of pushing buttons would solve it, then 2 weeks later it'd clear up for another 2 weeks. It was intolerable, so I moved on.
