For sale - a PAIR of Omega Speakers in Bi-Pole configuration. There are TWO RS5 drivers in each cabinet - one in front and one facing the rear. These speakers have two separate sealed compartments in each cabinet so that you can drive it as a bi-pole, di-pole, or just a single forward facing speaker with the rear inactive. All that is required is switching a pair of external jumper cables.
My favorite configuration is in bipole format as it really expands the soundstage size in a smaller room.
So there are four RS5 drivers in all for the two speakers. These are the latest RS5 drivers and the drivers are in mint condition.
The large monitor wide baffle cabinet was made by Louis of Omega speakers a while back and are very solid. It measures 20 inches tall, 13 inches wide, and 10 inches deep. The drivers are in the 13" face. There are no cracks but there are some light scratches. The finish is a simple honey finish.
So this pair is 100% omega speakers where the drivers are in mint new condition and the cabinet is 100% sound with zero repairs and no cracks. However, it is not as beautifully finished as current Omega speakers. I played this in my small office of 13x12 feet so I never did run them very loudly.
$675 is firm. I genuinely do not know what these are worth in the used market but I believe this is fair as I think a new pair may run north of $1400 for a pair this size....?
I genuinely believe that this is a superb buy if you are looking to get into Omega speakers and do not want to invest a bundle for a new one. You will get 100% of the audio performance, but not the visual beauty of the latest finishes. Again, structurally 100% sound.
