I am building Bastanis Prometheus 100dB/W, GR Research / Rythmik audio open baffle H-Frames. I will be using Transcendent Sound Son of Beast (SOB) as well as Vista Audio Spark for the Bastanis. The former for sound quality listening, the latter for casual listening and for radio and TV etc.
I am sure I will have questions re the subs, but today I was trying to look at owners of Bastanis to see what amps they use and the size of their rooms etc. I am interested in learning how to make the SOB's EL509-S valves last longer. They didn't last too long when paired with my 87 dB/W nominally 6 Ohm speakers in my 47 square meter room.
