We have eight IDA-8 units just shipped to USA and the gain is set to 1X. 
We have to charge a small fee ($40 with free return shipping) for changing the gain.

I was just checking with engineering and the gain can be set at the factory or service center.
We have to replace some resistors to change the gain to 1X, 2X or 3X.
We set it at 3X since sending the pre-out to subwoofer is the most common use.
But then we realise that some people want to use it with a headphone amp - wait for the NuPrime HPA-8 (2 RCA inputs, one phono input; 3.5mm, 6.2mm, XLR and RCA outputs) and all four outputs can be driven simultaneous. This is a monster headphone amp.

The line out is set at 2V now. (that was old info)
We shouldn't call it "sub out", some people might think that it is a limited freq output. It is a standard line out.

I have IDA-8, but I do not know its year of release. How and where can I determine by the serial number what kind of SAB-out I have? In the instructions and on the box it is written that 6V and 3x, can this be believed?
