Does bass management work for SACD and DVD-A? Is it fixed at 80 Hz? 100 Hz? Does anyone know?

The only controls I've seen in the multichannel menus are the ability to turn on/off the:
- surround speakers
- center channel
- sub

I didn't see any ability to adjust subwoofer cutoff frequencies, but you can  set the front speaker size from small to large. Perhaps this adjusts the bass cutover in some way. I would suggest looking closer at the manual.

There do not seem to be any adjustments available in 2 channel mode.

Good luck,
Bob

I've looked through the pdf manual...but I could only find reference to "small" and "large" speaker settings which usually means some sort of bass rolloff for the "small" selections. I'm sure there aren't multiple crossover settings, like the expensive Arcam DV79, but there must be one crossover point--usually 80 Hz or 100 Hz. Was hoping to get info from someone with hands-on experience with this unit (or the Samsung HD841)...

I've been trying to find the answer to that question as well. Typically "large" means full range and "small" means 80 or 100hz x-over but the manual doesn't indicate. I had to e-mail Pioneer to find out what it was on my 578a. Anyone know how to adjust output level for different channels?
