Bryston 4B NPB troubleshooting
« on: 24 Aug 2018, 11:58 pm »
Hello,

My Bryston 4B NPB recently stopped working on one channel. Only one LED light on the front panel is illuminated and that is one the side that works. I have changed cables, inputs, pre-amps and replaced the unit with another Bryston 4B that worked fine in the chain so I know it is something with the first 4B. I have looked over the manual but I do not see an indication of any fuses to look at.

In your opinion does the missing green LED on the front panel tell me one channel is pooched? Is my only course now to send it off to Bryston for a look over? If it is the latter then I question whether the 4B is worth the cost to repair it versus looking for an upgrade.

Any suggestions/opinions are appreciated.

Thank you,

James
