Just introducing myself. I’m a vinyl collector/ burgeoning DIY enthusiast currently living outside D.C. I started collecting music since you could get hooked in Columbia’s “10 for a penny” (or whatever it was) cassette mail orders. Used to skip the last hour of high school so a friend and I in Detroit could hit the music stores to find albums to play on our high school radio shows. Currently running a VPI Classic turntable, a Tavish Vintage phono amp, a Schitt Gungnir DAC and a Decware Mini Torii. The Tavish I assembled using their instructions and PC board, and I also built a passive preamp to allow more inputs to go through the Mini Torii. Currently assembling parts to possibly build the Decware ZKIT SE840 amp. I’ll also probably use the forum to try to buy/sell equipment in the never-ending flow of “I wonder what this sounds like?” notions.
