I bought this to use for 3 months while my main amp was being built, and I enjoyed listening to it in my high resolution system nearly every day. It has noticeably more grunt than many smaller amps, such as Tripath or other chip amps, and is much more full featured than most, with a dac, multiple inputs and a full remote.
It uses a good 24/96 capable DAC feeding a version of the Hypex UCD class D amp.
It has asynchronous USB, coaxial and twin optical inputs, as well as a set of analog RCA inputs.
Great choice for desktop or small room use.
Mine works very well, and is in very good physical condition. The remote works well. The only operating flaw is that one set of led backlights for the front display is a bit dimmer than the others. This does not affect sound or operation.
I'll ship it to the cont. US for $250. It is a very good value, IMO.
