I found this site from a mention on Audiokarma. Apparently, I've registered before, but can't remember when. Looking forward to reading and participating. I have an audio/video history working first for CBS Records and Tape in Terre Haute IN from 1976 to 1981. I was a technician working in the duplicating and de-spooling areas of our cassette/8Track recording facility. I later worked for Sony encrypting DVDs and Blu-ray videos for copy-protection. I'm currently working as a Maintenance Engineer for an archiving company. We're working with Indiana University archiving their 56,000 pieces of media. Everything from wire recordings, EIAJ, to video Umatic, DVCAM, and Betacam. I look forward to being a member of the group.
