If you looking for a passive transformer coupled volume control steal this at $200. Just make sure your CD player has a 2V or more output [ more the better] and your amp has a low input sensitivity. If so JUMP IN and be very happy. Good luck.

Sorta interested, but this company looks kaput ,I looked on their site as well as the archives and no information that I want
What output impedance CD players are workable?,i know some have outputs of 1000 ohms or less and tube output are around 10 k ,I have had issues with tvc in the past as they only works on a few players.
Any interest in trades?
Thanks

The item was sold.  The DACs I used this with didn't present an impedance matching issue.  The TVC is better than most passive for impedance matching because it lowers output impedance as the volume is attenuated, but if the source has such high output impedance (~10k) then you really need a buffer or active preamp.

Thanks,
