Hello,
My CD remote stopped working. I replaced the batteries thinking that was the problem (have not been replaced in years), but it is still not working.

I do get the red led when pressing "Code" so I know the unit is powered, but after entering the code as described in the manual "715" nothing happens, still not working.

The unit was not dropped so I'm hopping it is a setting or needs to be restarted somehow.

Have you guys had a similar situation? Any ideas?

If it's a standard IR remote, you can tell if the remote is transmitting by pointing it at your smartphone camera (or any digital camera, or laptop camera). Press a button on the remote while pointing it at the camera and you'll see the transmitting IR signal in the camera viewer. It at least tells you that the remote works.

Thanks!, I turned off the player and repeated the process a couple of times, it is working now.
