Hi. I am new to the community but long time audio enthusiast. Would like any feedback on using a Cary sli 80 with lower impedance VSA speakers.  Vr5, Vr4 iii hse, Vr4 jr etc. thanx

If the amp have 4 ohms taps and the speakers dont go under 4 ohms it may works.

I owned the Cary unit with a pair of VR4jr's and the Cary did not produce enough power.

The VR-5's however have a much higher sensitivity @ 91 dB and that Cary unit could drive them.

Plus - if you are in the market for speakers, that is an absolute steal for a great pair!
