Reluctantly I’m posting up my set of DAC inline Maraschino mono block amplifiers which are, without exaggeration among the best I’ve ever heard.
These are the in-line model that are super lightweight and can be placed inches from your speakers, keeping speaker cables insanely short and keeping your whole setup looking tidy (and presumably sounding even bette). They have the 48v power supply which rates them at 140w/ch at 8ohm, and I think 250w at 4 ohm (stable at 2ohm too!). You can get a 60v power supply which increases that even more, and there’s a 36v version which is supposed to have a sweeter sound, so you have some interesting options with these too.
In terms of sound, there’s not much to say really. They’re simply wonderful. Clear, very resolving but with no harshness or glare. I’ve owned amps from Marantz, Parasound, NuForce, and a few others and these are definitely the best. They drive Kef LS 50s amazingly well, and also did great with speakers from Snell, PSB, and Sonus Faber.
Zero noise, they run cool to the touch, and they even have a cool feature where they turn on automatically when signal is detected, then go to standby after ~10 minutes of inactivity, all silently without any thumps or clicks.
After moving I’ve had to downsize, and my system is all active now for simplicity. I’ve kept these amps for a few months because I didn’t want to give them up, but it really makes no sense to have them sit around for years until my situation changes. My loss is your gain, this is a great chance at a solid price on these. They’re currently $1,900 a pair new. I’m asking $800 + shipping to continental US(PayPal preferred, no extra charge). They are small but the original packaging is very robust. I have the original packaging, amps, power supplies, cables, and the very high quality rca-xlr adapters that come with them.
