Any love for the Van Den Hul MM-1?
« on: 24 May 2017, 01:50 am »
Several years ago I bought a SOTA Sapphire. I took the arm and cartridge off it and replace them with an SME 309 and an AT-OC9. I still have that original cartridge, a Van den Hul MM-1. I have no idea how much use it got before I bought the SOTA. I don't have any information about it, or know anything about it's relative quality. Since I just kinda sorta rediscovered it, I was wondering whether it would be worth mounting on another turntable.

Does anybody have any opinions about it or experience with it?

Thanks

Well, it seems that this cartridge was considered to be pretty darn good in the past, so I think I will try to remount it in one of my turntables and see if I like it when playing some of my "reference" vinyl. It should be fun. Thanks anyway....
