I've had three Dell computers. Two have been as quiet as an incadescent lightbulb. The third has a moderately noisy hard drive, but that went to my mother in law who can't here it.
I used to build all my computers, and for friends and family. These days I just keep my eyes open for great Dell deals (check gotapex.com)-you can't beat them in my opinon.
