Was purchased from original owner 2 years ago right after Soundsmith did their Level 2 rebuild with a line contact stylus, ruby cantilever, and suspension overhauled. It has been used approximately 175 hours since as I had another cartridge that I used more. The original 501 MK II is an excellent sounding cartridge with no weaknesses. It is a best buy in its price range. Read reviews. The work Soundsmith did actually makes this a finer sounding cartridge than the original. List price is $1195.00. I'm asking $525.00 plus shipping.
