Record sales are "soaring" all the way up to 8% of physical album sales (which dropped 5% in the past year)?  The article quotes turntable sales up at 3 vendors.

Note that streaming service sales exceed download sales which now exceed physical, but combined download/physical sales are down 35% from 20 years ago.

I lost my last turntable in a burglary in the 1980s. Replaced it with a CD player at the time.

Now, I am waiting for a rebuilt Thorens to be shipped next week. Very exciting! :D

Just now getting into TT myself. Pretty much given up on CDs as streaming is so much easier. TT are the complete opposite, but the SQ/presentation will be very different. Collecting CDs and streaming seems a bit silly since it's getting to the point they're nearly identical.

Do you think if TT gets even more popular that the cost of records will drop? To me, that seems like the biggest issue facing that part of the hobby.
