Recently updated the HT rig, and am most happy with the results. Last month, I contacted Ty of Tyler Acoustics, and worked with Ty to come up with a custom center channel and rear surrounds to match the front speakers sonically. (Cary Audio Silver Oak Model Ones). His prices were very reasonable, and his workmanship is top notch all the way. The idea was to get all the same drivers, which in this case, was SEAS Excel woofers and tweeters.
The speakers arrived today, and I'm extremely happy with the results. They match perfectly from a sonic perspective, and provide a marked improvement from the previous speaker setup I had. (A vintage Legacy Audio setup). The only item left to get is the Subwoofer, which should get here next week. After a lot of research on subs, decided to get a SVS Audio SB-13 Ultra. It seems like a best buy item, something you can't go wrong with.
Once the sub is inserted and set up, will post a follow up set of observations. I have held the belief for some time that the best overall musical playback experience is obtained by multi channel hi-resolution digital.
