Which Marantz (1950s) could he mean?
« on: 25 Dec 2016, 05:19 am »
My father (born in the 40s) used to tell me that as a teenager he would see these Marantz amps at the local dealer that could heat a room.  Very georgeuous, very expensive, nevermind for a poor teenager, just top of the line ridiculous expensive.   Any idea what they could be?

Might make a nice birthday present if they're available on the used market.

Perhaps he was referring to the Marantz Models 2, 5 & 8, all power tube amps produced in the 1950s.
