Nichicon Muse and KG the same?
« on: 18 Nov 2004, 08:45 am »
I've read several times previous messages about caps, and I cannot tell if the Nichicon Muse is the same as the Nichicon KG that is available from Michael Percy. If not, which is the Muse model and where is it available?

Looking to upgrade the Chemi-Con KMH on the power supply.

thanks,

Al

Al,

Why not buy the N+ upgrade and get the full shooting match?

Cheers,

Hugh

It's on my Christmas wish list. I'm just trying to help Santa just in case the exchange rate is too steep.

I re-read the Percy catalog and think I understand that the KG series is the top-of-the line and the Muse series (which includes the FG) is right below it.

Yup, Al, that's correct.

You'd be surprised what's on my Xmas wish list, but sadly I never did have a choice about the exchange rate.  I'm always on the losing side........

Al, this is the first time in living memory an American has any right to complain about exchange rates!  :o the rest of us can only lust after your easy access to parts, commonly free shipping and the like - never mind the fact that we often end up paying more for the shipping than the parts themselves!

I'm glad I have the right to complain that the trend for the past 2 years has not been favorable for the dollar.

AKSA gear is a good value regardless of the exchange rate. And talking with Hugh, I found out the cost to upgrade from Nirvana to N+ is less than the $469 Australian dollars that I thought it was from reading the pricelist.

By the way, we are celebrating Thanksgiving this week. And yes. I'm grateful most of the time.
