For those who don't know, Rowland Research was the original name of Jeff Rowland's company before he was forced to change it to Jeff Rowland Design Group. I offer up that tale to authenticate the pedigree of this piece. The unit was manufactured for me as part of a modular preamp circa 1982-3 ( not sure which anymore).

It is black, takes up a single rack space, and serves as phono preamp for the Panasonic strain gauge cartridge which I can include in the sale along with spare stylus. The only catch lies in the absent power supply. This unit was, as mentioned above, only a part of a modular product. The original system preamp was sold years ago along with the power supply which energized all 4 pieces. If you are a vinyl aficionado, this might provide you with endless fun. As I recall the power supply was a +/- 24 volt design. I know nothing else about it and can't say any more than the unit worked great when I took it out of service 20 or more years ago. Now after all that time, it is coming out of the closet.

For anyone who might already have this particular Panasonic cartridge, I think I can provide used but functional stylus, since I'm sure I have extras.

This is an attractive, unique and collectable piece. Check it out.

Maybe one of Vinnie Rossi's new power supplies would ice the cake.
